Southern Ohio Adventures Recreation, SOAR, was founded in 2012 with a very clear mission: to empower individuals with developmental disabilities, promote independence, raise awareness, and extend support to as many people as possible.
What began as a dream for a single dayhab location has evolved into a multi-county mission that touches the lives of many. SOAR now operates two vocational dayhab locations, three offices, and serves nearly 100 individuals in their homes through personalized services. In addition to these core offerings, SOAR has developed a home-delivered meal program and opened a restaurant, Mitzi Lou’s, that promotes employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, fostering inclusion and community engagement.
Through our diverse programs and expanding services, SOAR continues to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of our individuals, helping build a more inclusive and supportive society
